Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow (Screenshots)

Since Awakened Shadow is so traditional, and since it explicitly continues the, er, continuity of the Blue Dragon series, its biggest audience is going to be people who are already fans. That said, there's no reason why any J-RPG fans, or those with a particular penchant for blocky cutscenes, won't feel their 30 bucks was well spent on Awakened Shadow.

Dementium II (Screenshots)

It’s accomplished stuff, but the problem still remains: is a ‘fairly decent’ FPS any better simply because it’s impressive for the host hardware? We’d argue not and, good though it is for DS, Dementium II is just ‘fairly decent’ when compared with other shooters. If you’re looking for an FPS on DS specifically then you’ll struggle to find better, but the rest of us are better off sticking to shooters on bigger screens.

Scribblenauts 2 (Screenshots)

Maxwell returns for more stylus-driven gameplay, this time armed with 10,000 new words and the ability to use adjectives to modify the objects he brings to life.

Phantasy Star 0 (Screenshots)

It is, without a doubt, the most social game available on DS (be prepared to edit friend code listings like there’s no tomorrow), with a welcoming community of players happy to adventure and trade. And for us, that’s proved just about enough to rekindle our love for the series. Zero what a hero.
